coralline algea, questions

hi i was wondering if someone could give me a quick run down of what coralline algea is and what do you need to do to get it and how long does it take to grow.

also i hear that if your tank is healthy that you will have good coralline algea growth is this true

well....provided you have ample live rock, it will grow in time, prolly 3 months or so you'll start to see lil circles/spots of purple....they'll get bigger and bigger over time....it is a sign of good health from what I have heard...
