don't know what these are, they don't seem to move, they keep popping up on my rocks, all different sizes. Originally they were a tanish looking color. Now I don't see those anymore. Just light purple.

I pulled one off the rock before and they are hard. Almost light a weird shaped calcium deposit......

Huh, interesting.
Tough to tell, but is it on the glass or on the what appears to be macro algae?
Kinda looks like the tiny starfish most of us get in the tanks (the nuisance starfish, about 2-4mm in dia), which often times are missing limbs and halves of their bodies (in my tank atleast).

Could be the start of a star. Its hard to say from the pic. Doesn't look like anything I know of. Does it move much?

Nevermind, see your 2nd post where you state it was on the rock....

yeah, I'm going to scream hallelujah when someone does figure it out, lol. This is the 3rd time trying to post for ID different sites, nobody knows. They don't move, it really looks and feels like a calcium deposit. It doesn't look like they like any particular spot. But I only find them on the rocks, not the glass or sand or anywhere else. They are different sizes also. I've seen asterina stars before and they don't look like those. If I actually pick it off the rock they almost have a roundish pyramid shape. It's attached pretty good to the rock too.

They're Calcarina, a foraminiferan with symbiotic algae. Basically they're photosynthetic, shelled amoebas.
