Proclear make a so- so one
JOS out of florida makes some nice BIG ones.
Coralife and Seaclone and many more to pick from
And I am sure you will get more names soon here.
Just get one thats easy to clean and has a pump you can change when it goes bad
300 sounds like a good size counting tank/sump: 2x the system volume is a good rating.

I'm running about 180 total gallons with a H&S A150-F2001 skimmer. Very happy with it. You may want to look at the H&S 200.

octopus 150 or 250 needle wheel are both excellent! if you have money, get the recirc one

A Bermuda 3-c or 5-c if you are ever planning on going bigger

Can I add on a question here? Is the tank size estimate given by Octopus Skimmers reliable or do you still have to get one rated for twice your tank size?

Never trust manufacturer size ratings, ask around about particular skimmers and find out what users think. Generally, twice your tank size is a good move.
Josh, I'd consider the octopus line as well as the MSX skimmers. Good performance for the price.

look around the for sale page...every once in a while there's a really good deal, if you can't find one today, wait for tomorrow haha, you might get lucky, or post in the wanted section, you'd be surprised how many ppl have one lying around that you could prob buy for really cheap!
