What is normal?

I purchased my first fish in 4 years today. I purchase a yelloweye tang. It is a little of the small side. I hope it would help out with some algae on my rocks. It is joing two other tangs lg. Hippo and a large sail fin. They accepted it well no fighting.

I didn't notice it eating with the rest of the fish this evening. How long without eating before I get concerned. It appears to be grazing and healthy.

The mouth on those tangs are desingned for a reason. Grazing is good, eventually though, it might run out of "stuff" to substain it. If it's not accepting anything new in a month, I'd start to worry. Emaciation comes into play. A slow decline. Very sad to watch.

Those kole tangs have always been kinda tricky for me. Hit or miss.
Throw everything but the kitchen sink at it.

Some never do acclimate to prepared foods but if he has an example from the others I am sure he will get the idea soon enough
