Ive had this star for a few months. I have only seen it about 3 times when the lights are out. Today I did a water change. When I was turket basting my rocks I noticed this thing on the glass spewing milky stuff at a rapid rate. Im scared to return it to my tank. Is this toxic?

Urchins do that and spawn, and starfish and urchins are very closely related, so I would bet spawning. I would put him back in!

Here’s a picture of one of my brittle stars spawning and releasing sperm. Did it look similar to this?
