I hate this time of year because it means I have to change my light bulb. I've got a double ended 250 watt metal halide and dual acintic compact flourescants.

Currently I've got a 10k coralife bulb in there, and I was thinking about using a 14k and wanted to know if people had any imput on bulb brand or wether or not its worth it to even bother with a 14K.

Currently I've got some Zoanthids, a Maxima, soft corals (Devils hand, xenia, etc.), chalace and I think thats about it. I've heard mixed things about 14k bulbs- they should be more blue which should allow for better photosynthesis, however I've also heard that the blue is more for looks and effect and that a 10k is better for corals. Which is it and whats the deal?

I'd stay with the 10,000K as you already have actinic supplements. They give you more bang for the buck.
