i was wondering can a sulfur denitrator lower phosphates as well as nitrates in a similar fashion as carbon dosing can? Both techniques are basically growing bacteria, except one is localized in a reactor. So wouldn't the biological byproducts of the bacteria within the reactor be skimmed out evenually, which in turn effectively removing the phosphates that were bound to the DOC's?
any one have any thoughts to this?
