JBJ ATO came in the mail today and I need a pump for it. What is the reccomended pump to go along with this system, or what is everyone out there using?

i use a maxi jet 1200. its on for 10 seconds. I tried the aqualifter but it ran for 15 minutes.

So the size of the pump doesnt really make a difference, it is just personal preference?

Whatever pump you use just needs to be strong enough to pump the vertical distance between the reservoir and the sump or tank. I use a MJ 1200 on my JBJ HQI because the reservoir is sitting on the floor but only need a MJ400 for my 90 gallon with the sump and reservoir both sitting on the ground.

i also use Maxijets, mainly for its reliability. I used to use a back up rio, but have read they don't like being turned on and off and would often fail.

For a small tank such as yours (I presume is 24g) ... tom's airlifter pump all day, everyday! Of course unless you need more vertical power. Small drips on a small tank prevents salinity shock, but it usually doesn't make a big difference if you go with a maxijet 1200.
