Whats a good automated 2 part doser? I heard that the Reef Doser by aquamedic is no good. Any good recommendations? I know that the Profiluix unit is probably the best out there but anything cheaper?

I just bought two of the Drew's dosers from www.bulkreefsupply.com during their black friday deal of $70/piece.

I will hook them up for Christmas.

I use two drews dosers and am pleased. I also have two of the slim line 1.25 gallon jugs from bulk reef supply for the two part. Fits better under my cabinet.

I have an aquamedic triple doser. I would use anything other than an aquamedic doser. For my next dosing application I will either use a litermeter or profilux unit.

i agree with ya surge19us. same exact jugs and doser. what timer are you using seeing that you have to do it by minutes, didyou calibrate your doser? sorry for the hijack should be useful info for you as you are trying to figure out what kind of doser to use. plus reefer i dont know about all the other dosers but this one runs slower than the others which is a good thing.

You can use an aquacontroller to time the dosing pumps with minute intervals.

I use my Aqua Controller Jr. to control my pumps and have a fail safe set so if any thing screws up the alk part will shut off if the Ph exceeds a set value. When I got the pumps I timed/measured how much they put out over 10 minutes and then 30 minutes and figured my dosage from there. They get tweaked occasionally as the demand changes in the tank.

Another vote for the Bulkreef dosers. I use a reefkeeper 2 to control them. Never any problem.

I'm selling a lab grade dual channel for a steal in the selling forum:

Dead silent and gear driven. It's bulletproof.

Even though the aquamedic can be set to the minute intervals and looks cool, they are nothing but a problem. ESV makes a B-Ionic doser that works well, but it does take up a little bit of space.
