Just finished my last exam of college. Going to be graduating from the University of Alabama Saturday with a bachelor of science in environmental science.

Need to find a good job to support my addiction to the hobby...hopefully going to be getting a big tank by summertime.

Just felt like letting my aggressive friends know.

:)

Congrats man! Must be a good feeling:) Might not be in the immediate plans, but consider grad school at some point. You won't regret it and it will open a lot of doors for you. Hope the job and big tank aren't too far off!

Ha, I know, I've been in school for longer then I should have and still no where near my degree yet. Kept switching majors, should have graduated a year and a half ago. Goodluck with the new job, what are you looking for big tank wise? Any ideas? Stocking etc?

Thanks Jerry. I'm planning on taking the GRE this summer, and I will probably end up going to grad school to get a Masters in biology. Don't want to do it right away as I've gotten a bit burnt out on school for the time being :)

Pep, I changed my major too. Took me 5 years plus going to summer school every summer but my freshman year. As far as the tank goes, I haven't really planned out the stocking list yet but I'm getting closer. The only two fish I know I want are a large angel (blueface or emp) and red coris wrasse. Haven't really decided on anything else yet, but I'll definately be consulting the board when the time comes. Kinda want a different mix of fish...

Recty, thanks! How about some updated pics of your tank :D

Congratulations! Hope you had fun celebrating. Good luck with grad school this summer. In Biology, an MS will help you a lot. IMO, it's more marketable that either the BS or the PhD.

Congrats. I have 1 more semester and I'm through as well. I hate school so much, can't wait to get it over with.

Awesome-that's got to be a good feeling. I'm almost there myself ( year left) and I can't wait! You've given me hope that there actually is an end to school :D. Well maybe not so much in my case as I'm going into teaching............:)

Congrats on graduating, it seems like 2001 is getting farther and farther away. There are things about school that are frustrating, but ultimately it's hard to beat attending classes and occasionally studying vs. a ton of work every week.

Recty, thanks! How about some updated pics of your tank :D I ordered a new camera yesterday, it should be here Friday, so I'll be getting some updated pictures.

The thing that irritates me and why I havent been taking pictures is I treated with quinine sulfate and my algae problems went through the roof. I think I basically killed my biological filter off, I'm having to do large water changes to keep things in check.

It also nuked all my snails, so my algae control is basically gone, I'm a little irritated, but oh well, mistakes happen.

I'll get some new pictures, but the background is going to be brown ;)

Oh, I also think you have a good strategy for the GRE, take it while you are still in "school mode", even if you don't end up going to grad school right away the score is still good for 5 years.

Congratulations on your achievement and best of luck finding a good job. Yes, take GRE now even if you plan to delay GS for awhile.

Have never regreted all sacrifices made in order to complete my education and a Master (or post-graduate studies) is allways a good card in your pocket. BZ!
