Saw this on ratemytank. Can't imagine how water changes are done

that has disaster written all over it. Its cool though, just not in my house. or anywhere that i would be caught under it if it fell

I would guess the base is counter balanced. It looks like the tank would be knee level on the second floor.

looks like two photos photo shopped together, you can see what looks like another room behind the tank.

But if its real and across two floors of a house, amazing. Are there any more pictures of this system?

I think it is across two floors of the house...if you look to the left of the tank you'll see the underside of a set of stairs.

Maybe the black frame around the tank is a sort of reverse stand, supporting the weight of the tank, secured to the floor joists?
