Have you guys seen these?

I am just wondering... if the fish will survive long in these type of 4 inch width tanks.

Wow somebody would pay that for this! Im in the wrong business.

Ethical--heck no. But its not nearly as bad as what those poor simease fighting fish in their tiny cups at Walmart have to live in.

would maybe be okay for small fish like danios and smaller tetras.

Maybe some of the very small freshwater fish would be ok in those, but I can't think of any saltwater fish that would be suitable since they're generally more active.

However, they might make great zoanthid/softie tanks.

No different that a lot of the nano tanks you see. Almost 8 gallons, you could keep a neon goby, a clown goby, etc.

okay for small fish less then 1.5", but IMO anything else would be way to crampt. especially those goldfish and swordtails they had on the website!

There is a similar version for saltwater that hangs from the ceiling. I cannot remember the name but it's been posted here before.

throw a firefish and some shrimps/crabs and you're all good

I guess it really depends on what kind of fish. I personally just think 4" thickness is like jail. But yeah, siamese bowl is really horrible too. I just back in the days when we're in elementary school with our 10 gallon fishtanks... hehe. I kept good number of goldfishes for years just using 10 gallon, at least that is at least 8-10" in depth. Also because these are displayed so you can't really hide anywhere, it might bring shock to some of the shy fish.

But is it as enjoyable as having a decent sized tank? I don't think so, it's more trendy than anything.

People who keep fish in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

An LFS near me has an Ocellaris in one of these...I'm probably imagining things, but I've always thought she looked miserable in there.

"PLASMA Wall Mounted Fish Tank" ?????

Do they think it's a TV?

Obviously a product targeted at people with more money than sense.

this is the only application of these types of tanks i've seen. imo, it's a tank designed to sell to those who don't know much about fishkeeping.

I guess it depends on what you cram into it.
Pretty cheesy IMO.

And that saltwater ceiling hanging thing is really cheesy too.
It's enhanced techiness doesn't make it seem any less like a hip version of the fish tank toilet.

Am I the only one who noticed the '1 year warranty against leakage'?

"Hey guy! Hang this thing on your wall. It won't leak all over your drywall for a whole year!"

... I agree. $550 is such a high asking price for that too.. even 'on sale' .. how can they justify the price of that?
