i reacently bought a t5 retro setup-ice cap 660 with 4 48" bulbs- i am wondering how everyone takes pictures and other things with just there actinics on?-- can i just put a switch in the lines to the non actinic bulbs or does that screw all the power going to the bulbs up?

just curious how everyone is doing that or if i just have to buy two ballast to run it all independently

thanks

I believe the only way is to have 2 ballasts. Although i was also wondering if you might beable to run a switch that would bypass 2 bulbs...hmm hopefully someone can clear this up,

would be really nice if i could run a switch though a seperate timer so i could run my actinics a bit longer then the others -- then all the lights the rest of the time - if thats makes any sense to anyone other then me - im tired

I think you will need 2 balasts

You need 2 ballast in order to have control of individual sets of bulbs. To make a 4 bulb setup work with a 660 you have to wire in series, so if 1 bulb is off the whole thing doesn't work.

Oh forgot about them being set in series... Yeah then you could only do it with 2 ballasts...
