I have a wet/dry with bio balls. I want to get rid of them. Here are the two choices I have come up with:

1) Place coral rubble in the bioball chamber

2) Make trays in the bioball area, put carbon and phosphate absorbant in the trays.

Any other ideas would be helpful

Thanks

is it a reef tank? if its not then whatever, if reef then some live rock will be fine, or do what i did when i used to have a wet/dry, turn the wet/dry into a sump, nothing except water and equipment,

It is a reef tank. I have live rock in it now. If the chamber had nothing in it, there would be a micro bubble mess.

The bubbles should be gone before they reach your return pump. The bubles are fine in the wet dry as long as they dont make it into your display tank.
