Has anyone ever run two or more phosphate reactors in series with one pump? Right now, I am running one, reverse flow from PM, with phosphate media, then the sponge and plastic ring, then carbon on top. I don't think I like my current set up. My phosphate media ends up turning into a brick and I have to chip it out every couple of weeks. What causes it to do that?

I am not familiar with the PM reactor but I know you are supposed to turn up the flow to 100gph for a minute or so on the TLF reactor 1x week to prevent it from channeling, and I bet it breaks it up a little at the same time.

I have 2 TLF Phosban reactors running in series. First one GAC, the second GFO. Been that way fir a few years, no problems.
