my clam collection!

here are a pic of my clams:

- 8 inch squamosa i just acquired today from a local reefer
- 6 inch brown/gold maxima
- 4 inch gold teardrop maxima
- 3 inch blue maxima
- three 3-4 inch croceas

yeah, you're right. all the clammers are in my garage/ghetto tank where i almost do zero maintenance on it. ironic of some sorts!

How big is that tank?

it's a 110g with a 30g sump filled halfway.

i use cacl and buffer to maintain the ca and alk when i feel like adding the stuff. sometimes i do it regularly sometimes i dont do it for a long time.

i check the levels about once a month and do a 10% wc per week using old water from my 180g sps tank. it is a skimmerless tank with a 2g refugium growing out chaeto.

i feed the fish heavily and the two large nems in there as well. no sps but there are some lps' in there along with a bunch of softies.

Sorry, there is something about that picture that makes the tank look microscopic. Is it a top down through a brace?

the shot is somewhat closeup of the front acrylic pane...which is why i dont scrape it that much.
