Toadstool Problem

I have had a tryee toadstool for well over two months and it has been growing like mad. It the past two weeks it has retracted it feeders and is now solid as a rock. It seems like it has turned to stone. No changes at all in the tank.

Sometimes they do this... I had a 'stool that retracted for almost 2 months. It had algae growing on it, but it was not rotten. I couldn't figure it out... then one day, it shed its slime, (and the algae on it) and out cam the polyps. That was two years ago, and it's still alive and kicking!
