I have maybe 2 dozen or so of them and they seem to all be in low light areas..especially around my intank fuge. They look like pale pineapple shaped things.

Anyone have an idea? Are they good or bad?

yep, hitchhikers. they're relatively safe, though I've read that they consume silicates, so you may want to research why they're doing well in your tank.

My tank blew a 1.5 on it's latest phosphate test. I'm ceasing to feed frozen, added some chemipure elite, did a water change and I'm increasing the light on my fuge to get my chaeto going. All other levels were good.

Think that's it? Anything else I should be doing.

Add DI to the RO. Skim wet. Use Rowaphos.

Been putting that off...will get the DI. I always skim wet & keep my Remora HOB's cup pushed all they way down to skim as we as possible. Tank is almost 4 months old and I still can't fill the cup in a week.

Don't happen to know Sgt Nick Spitaro do you? Long shot but my wife's cousin is NYPD and he's mentioned coworkers that are into reefing.
