LFS here are pretty sad these days, considering ordering online. Any success/horror stories? Who ships quick? Clean, healthy stock?

I'm a big fan of LiveAquaria, huge fan actually... the Diver's Den fish are top notch.

Me too. Dr. Marty Smith was my vet in the 80s; they run their business the same way they treated me & my dogs--fantastic. I've bought all my fish online for years and won't ever go back. Quality (the big online dealers really get the best fish from the local divers), price, guarantee, delivery to your door, just can't be beat. I've heard good things about several dealers; but have bought mostly from LA (and DD). These folks will do anything to make you happy; I buy almost all my everyday supplies from them (Foster & Smith) too; great prices and service. My experience with Blue Zoo has been very good too. For inexpensive, everyday fish; SWF.com has been good as well. But my 1st choice is always Live Aquaria.

He's just a hair under 6". Was eating the next day. Every fish I've gotten from them is active and eating by the second day, most on the first.

liveaquaria Diver's Den has become my first choice. I also like reefhotspot, based on my one order with them.

LA DD
petsolutions--not the best packing but got 2 healthy (false as LA DD calls them) Personifer on separate order. Price was very reasonable. Pretty good customer service as well with price match on dry goods and credit right away with DOA.

My favorites are Reefhotspot and Liveaquaria. I rate their customer service to be equal. Max over at Reefhotspot will go the extra mile for you if you are looking for something specific and his correspondence is great. Both have top quality fish.
I would never recommend Bluezooaquatics. I had a really bad experience with them. They shipped me 2 Moorish Idols that looked like they had never eaten in captivity-totally emaciated and ratty looking on arrival. Then, I sent a complaint e-mail and they never even took the time to respond.

Rob is a diver in Hawaii that sells direct and of course you only get fish from that area. I have bought eels, anglers and tangs from him at good prices and you can get bigger fish if you want.

Rob in Hawaii is an amazing guy with great fish. I got my Dragon Moray from him. Perfect. What is better than getting the fish from the person who caught it. Also in Hawaii is Les from WetpetsHawaii.com He catches many of his fish or gets them from other diver friends. Amazing customer service and the best packing I have ever seen. I.E my 7" Black Tang was shipped in 8 1/2 gallons of water!!!!!!! Thought he specializes in Hawaiian stuff, he has great access to Christmas Island and Aussie stuff. Below is some pics of the eel from Rob and some pics of fish i got from Les. With the larger suppliers, you can't beat LA, Reefhotspot, Bluezoo, and also Sedar at Phisybusiness who can get many rare fish that other only dream of getting.

By far the best price for these eels.

Thanks a bunch, guys.
Phishy Business is local to me, but they usually carry species that are a lot more exotic than I am looking for.

They are cheap compared to the prices in my area...79.99 for a yellow tang (any size) in my area

I've ordered from LiveAquaria and MarineAquatics. LiveAquaria has really good customer service, and when I called Marine Aquatics to ask for a larger dwarf eel considering my tank size, they sent me just that. I've ordered from both places twice with good experiences.
