A fellow reefer uses LEDs and showed me an interesting fixture, so I figure I'll throw the question out here.

Based on the requirements, does it have enough power light a tank?

It's 12w total, so these are not the high power LEDs that would bright enough for coral.

accent lighting is not tank lighting.

i have to agree with the green man, at 12 watts and the amount of LEDs in it, i just cant see it being much cop to be honest

At best a little color supplementation. Maybe use the blue for moonlights or shimmer effects.

If you look at the first lumens/watt table it's <10 across the board. The high power LEDs seen in the latest Solaris or AI fixtures reach 90-100 lumens/watt.
