hole saw life expectancy?

I have a 2" diamond hole saw it has only been used once to cut a hole in 1/4" glass. I have a 120g with 1/2" glass and want to drill 5 holes for a closed loop. Do you think it can do 5 more holes through 1/2"?

Depends on the make. is it Chinese made? if it is they are only good for a 2-3 holes.

IME, you will get to the third hole and it will take forever. Best to pick up a couple more to have on hand when your patience (and the diamonds!) gives out.
