I created a Skimmer

I was mixing my salt into 5g buckets and I noticed when I was stirring that I was creating foam on the waters surface in the bucket so I went outside and decided to try somthing.

I had my 5g bucket(full of water that needed disposed of), 2 powerheads, and an air stone/pump. I suction cupped the powerheads to the the bucket getting it spinning and added the air stone and what do you know it bubbled like crazy. I wish I had pics but I wasn't thinking of it at the time.

Yep, since saltwater has a high PH add air chopped by powerheads and you get microbubbles that rise as a skimmer. i bet if you leave it for a day you'll see black foam and custom black cement :lol:

I run my tank water through a 5 gallon bucket that sits in an industrial paint bucket shaker. Works great.
