I was thinking about buying the Microbe-Lift pH Buffer/Stabilizer from drfostersmith.com

Anybody ever used it before? and if yes how do you add it to your aquarium?

Hi arriox,

You don't tell us very much about your tank chemistry so it is hard to say what you need. You might want to read Calcium and Alkalinity Supplementation (http://www.advancedaquarist.com/issues/feb2003/chem.htm) to get a better idea of what to add.

I would also request the more info about your tank, and ask why you want to use a pH buffer. Most of the time trying to control pH is hopeless, and usually I don't recommend it.

Controling PH Or should I say Attempting to control PH with Buffers is the wrong way to go about this. Listen to waterkeeper and do some reading. Then ask some more questions. After a while it will all become clear to you.
