One thing I've noticed when I've received shipments is, when the styro box and the cardboard box are completely sealed with tape, the heat pack is usually cold. When I opened everything up, the heat pack starts warming up again.
This usually meant my shipment got cold.
Now I've had a few shipments that the shipper made sure the heat pack was able to draw air in the heat packs were always still warm.

I sent $750 worth of frags to Turkey last week. Because of cancelled flights, they were en route for 55 hrs. I used urine sample cups & wet paper towels, wrapping 5 frags in each 1/2 towel & packing ~10 frags/cup, 8 cups total. They all fit inside a thermal lunchbox. I used a 40hr heat pack. All arrived damp & warm.

The specimen cups work pretty good, but I insist that my frags be shipped in water.

I also had someone ship me some frags in a 6 pack cooler. Seemed to work pretty good.
I've also had several shipments where the shipper used thermos containers. As small as the 1 cup size up to a quart size.
