I have treated tangs with hyposalinity in the past but not copper.

I had really good success treating my clowns with copper but I think I remember reading somewhere that tangs were too sensitive to get treated with copper.

i have treated two yellow tangs, and a brown powder tang using a copper treatment before they went into my tank. They were QTed in a 10 gallon too (not together, on separate occasions).

In my experience tangs are not affected in a negative way when treated with copper.

I believe prolonged exposure kills off their beneficial gut fauna.

I only plan to do a 14day treatment.

Yes but this has also been observed with short term treatments too. Its a very bad idea (or at least risky) to treat tangs with copper. I guess it depends if you are willing to risk it or not.

go with hyposalination if you can

copper can kill your tang

At the very least use Cuperamine or w/e it is called (ionic form)
And i would get it electronicly tested everyday if possible

Damn. These tangs are under 2" each.

Probably not a good idea then.

They will tolerate full treatment with Cupramine just fine ;)
