Question regarding typhoon III and float valve

Excuse my ignorance but I would like to put a float valve on the PURE PRODUCT OUT as a shutoff. Does this mean when the float raises and stops the pure product from coming out that the waste water will stop also? Wasnt sure how the auto shut off valve works? Thanks

Not instantly. The waste water will flow for a little bit until the pressure reached triggers the other valve to shut off.
