I am currently in the process of upgrading my 55g reef to a 150g reef. I've had the 150g up and running for about 3 weeks. I used new sand and about 25 gallons of water from my 55g to fill it (the rest of the water was from and RO/DI unit). Last week I installed my new skimmer and put in about 20lbs of live rock. Yesterday I added another 20 or so lbs of live rock. All of the live rock came from my 55g tank. There were some small corals on those rocks and they all seem to be doing fine. The rest of my live rock is covered with corals. I also have 4 fish, a derasa clam, and an anenome.

When can I add the remaining corals and fish? Should I wait another week or so? I can't test for ammonia b/c my test kit is missing one of the components but I did test for Nitrites and they were zero.

I would hit up your local shop(one you trust-like a salt only store) and buy a test kit w/ what ya need and also have them test it too. Good luck to you and I 'll revisit to see some PIX! LOL.
