VHO? maybe?

So I run 250x2 10K MH, The par and growth is awesome as would be expected with that temperature bulb. I supplement with 2x54w T5 03 Actincs. I find the blue hue is not as strong as I would like it. If I were to switch to 2x110w VHO 03 Actincs, would I see a better results? My goal is to stay with the 10K MH for their high PAR rating instead of moving to 14K MH.

I run the XM 250 wt 10k's & use 3 VHO URI actinics for supplemental light.I did switch to T5 actinics for a while(after hearing all the positive info about them).IMO they did not compare to the VHO in terms of actinic pop.I switched back to VHO's after a month or so & don't plan on switching any time soon.HTH

Did you need to use different ballasts when you went to T5?

No I use an icecap 660,which means I could run either bulb on the ballast(in fact I could run either bulb at the same time-would just have to swap out endcaps)HTH
