Waterproofing AC3

I was just curious what people are doing to keep their Aquacontrollers dry. I dropped a cheapo automatic feeder in the tank the other day and got me pretty nervous about my AC3 getting wet. Would it be ok to put it in a plastic bag and zip tie it? Acrylic shields?
