This is why I generally only hang out in my local reef section of these forums ... people are more civil if they have to see you face to face once a month. I mean, why is it so socially acceptable to throw out a RTFM. Can't you start out with RTM, and if someone repeats the behavior, then you go to RTFM. It's about as useful as me replying with something like, "Okay, thanks for the advice. I'll RTM, F."

Heh, cool. I admit that I didn't RTM for the forum; like I said, I almost exclusively hang out in my local reef forum. And I'm sure that it gets annoying constantly having people come into a specific forum without bothering to read the rules first. Kind of like when people click on the last page of a huge thread and ask a question that's been answered on almost every page of the thread (I don't know how The Grim Reefer keeps his patience with the T5 Q&A thread). Anyways, thanks.

go to this website and see if you can match it up to any of those. that is the best way to find out what you have if it is on there. otherwise you will have to rely on somebody else knowing what it is.

burtbollinger, I feel you came down extremely hard on an innocent request by Saddler. While the rules do state that no ID's are allow in the discussion forum, you could have equally directed Saddler with a link to the ID sub-forum at the bottom of this page. If we continue to alienate reefers who make an innocent mistake, what will become of the very forum we all love.
