Question in Nitrate Test Kit

I have been dosing vodka and have been following nitrate reduction very carefully. Last time I tested the water color was orange but not nearly as orange as what zero reads, it was much lighter, is this still zero or is something wrong with the kit? Thanks.

yep it is still zero if it is orange. A darker brown would indicate heat damage.
