Hi, I know my tank isn't suppose to ready for anemones

and have no clowns yet.. but.. today went to

several LFS in the area w/ friend and found really really

nice GBTA... I just couldn't pass it up!

here is the picture

(pic can't justify the green color and purple tip!)

I acclimated for hour and half and think I put GBTA in high flow

so it is started to moving... been couple of hours and moved

few inches so far.. and now I turned lights on and it appears to be

good/health....

just question... the mouth is located on back right side (sorry pic

is bit out of focus to capture all of it) where it is mostly black...

and size of mouth is about Quarter coin... not sure it is stretched

due to moving... or should I be worried?

Thanks for comments :)

It is beautiful. An open mouth is never a good sign but is most likely stressed from moving it. It should be back to normal in a day or two. I would not have been able to pass it up either, nice buy.

thanks! ya.. I hope GBTA can find its home

by next morning or so I can rearrange the corals away from

anemones and hopefully mouth will be tighten by then

Looks great. I'm still debating between GBTA or RBTA...

My GBTA moved consistantly for the first week or so then planted itself where it wanted to be. Dont worry it wil figure it out. When it looks like it likes a place or has been there for a couple days try and feed it. I had best results with using Krill for first time feeds. That should make it stay with any luck. But it is pretty much commonly said that anemone's do as they wish and you can't rely on them staying still. Just wait till it splits.
As for the debat on the GBTA vs RBTA I would go with the RBTA. My buddy got one about 18 months or so ago and now has 16 of them. Nice way to make money back.

Thanks for tip CA2OR

it was dirt cheap actually.. I was really surprised... 36 + tax so about

39 or so... this GBTA have slight pink in some area... and orange/purpleish

tip which looks awesome in person...

as or now GBTA moved about 5 inches or so from original spot

towards the back.. and there is rock right above him that would

block light... so Im not sure if I should move the rock for GBTA to

get some sunshine or just leave it as for few days and try to move

again for better spot

if he doesnt like where he is he will move himself. if not then he will stay.

He is probably still acclimating to your tank and will probably shy away from light and flow. As he gets more used to his tank he will come out more for more flow and light. Man you are lucky: >40$ for a BTA wow that is a great price. I paid like 60+ for mine and it still wasn't as nice as yours.

Good luck and happy holidays :)
