Im currently stocking:

Leopard Wrasse, 2 Fire Fish, 1 Powder Blue Tang, 1 Pacific Blue Tang, and a Mandarin Goby. Im interested in getting a goby that will move my sand around without getting it all over my corals.

What sand sifter gobie would you recommend for my system?

I have a dragon sifter goby. Most of them get sand on areas you do not want. Turkey baster or a powerhead once or twice a wk is the fix

i have an orange diaond and a dragon sifter, they do a great job of turning over the sand, but there is constantly sand in the water colom now, verry messy guys but they are my fav as they are constantly busy doing something unlike most fish that just swim around looking pretty, messy but i love them

I had a diamond for a while, he did really awesome until one night he took a leap out of the tank :( Moral of the story: make sure you got jumper protection if you get one.

I have had both a dragon and a diamond shifter....both work awesome.

if you have a deep tank you might need to target feed both of them.

and a word to the wise....no lawnmower blenny with a diamond....they don't get along at all

My lawnmower and diamond are fine together until feeding time comes around. Then usually the lawnmower will get what he wants and the diamond will have to get leftovers. They don't fight however.

I have a diamond watchman goby and he is awesome. I think any sand sifting goby will do about the same as sand in the corals. It only happens infrequently and the corals take care of it themselves, just like in nature.

I'm not sure if you have a price range, but I'll put in my two cents anyways.

I've also had the diamond goby, which did very well sifting the sand. Also, if you want a goby that (in my experience) is out quite frequently and is gorgeous to look at along with doing a great job cleaning the sand, do some research on the Yasha Haze goby. These fish can be on the pricey side for something so small ($30ish), but in my opinion was well worth the investment. In the end, it's a personal thing I guess.

I'm using a orange diamond sleeper goby :D
He does a gr8 job of keeping the sand clean. He does kick up a sand storm from time to time, but for the most part he doesn't go out of his way to cover corals with sand. The fish has a gr8 personality too.
