View Full Version : ID please...is this a bristleworm?

I'm sure there are more but so far I'm sure I have at least two of them in the tank. They are hitchhikers that came with a piece of LR. I'm lucky I got this shot as it took me forever to focus the camera and he kept hiding. I think it is a bristle worm but I'm really not sure. That one when stretched out is about 3.5-4" long. The other one is slightly shorter. They all look so different and I can never find a picture that looks quite like what I'm looking for. They are always in the same place tho so they aren't hard to find as long as it's dark in the tank. I usually use a red flashlight to find them. So I try to remove them or are they harmless?

Yep it is a BW, leave them in the tank they are fine.

i just found one of these in my tank tonight and looks exactly like that. i couldnt find a pic that matched either so thanks for the info Ebmorri. i didnt want to have to disect my roclwork.
