Congrats on your solana

I have one also. Your going to have fun with it , as far as live rock its your prefrence some people like plat forms(flat haitian rock) some like the branchy look and other like the bulk look they all look good. I have a fuge hung on mine and its mainly a sps system.

thanks im not sure what my list is gonna be but im hoping to have some really rare fish in there and im gonna take it really slow. i didnt buy the skimmer yet but i dont feel like modding and possibly breaking it so i think i might try the euro reef nano instead of the tunze 9002. im really confused with what rock to put in their. say if i put vanuatu not cured can i cure it in the tank? can the nano skimmer handle it?

thanks

honestly if you can, try to hand pick the rock from a place that is local. It is worth the extra money.

Id look for "Marshall Islands" rock if I were you. Marshall is very porous, and comes in many variations of size and shape. The BEST rock IMO.

Good luck! Post some pics once up and running!

PS - IMO you should go with the TUNZE 9002. I have seen solana's with them so I know they fit. Its an awesome skimmer!!! I love mine!

+1 on the marshall island rocks. a bit pricey but i think the look it provides with worth it.
