Hello,

I received a rather large container of Nutrafin flake food for tropical fish. Problem is that I have marine fish. Can I still use it?

Also, I received a gift certificate to Dr. Foster's. Can this be used for Liveaquaria, as well?

dickhordishay,

Thank you for your post. We sincerely apologize that you received the wrong food. Please PM us with your order number or customer information and we would be happy to look into this for you.

Gift Certificates can be used for either LiveAquaria (http://www.liveaquaria.com/) or supplies at Drs. Foster and Smith (http://www.drsfostersmith.com/).

I appreciate the apology, but it wasn't your fault. I received it as a Christmas gift. I was just wondering if tropical fish food could be fed to marine fish. It's Nutrafin Max.

And thanks for the other reply. Looks like I'll be getting some new fish!!!!

Dickhordishay,

Thank you for your post. Depending on the type of Nutrafin Max will determine on whether or not you can feed it to your saltwater fish. If you have the Nutrafin Max Plus Mysis Flakes (http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=17236) this can be fed to fresh or saltwater fish. However if you have the Nutrafin Max Plus Earthworm Flakes (http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=17235) this is only recommended to be fed to freshwater fish.

It's Nutrafin Max Complete Flake Food (for all tropical fish).

Dickhordishay,

Thank you for your post. We sincerely apologize we would not recommend feeding the Nutrafin Max Complete Flake food to your saltwater fish, as it is a food that is recommended to be used for freshwater fish. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
