I used my sons Canon 20D and took some photos that are more true to life in color. It's a lot easier to get good shots with a DSLR ;) . This is one of the most personable fish that I have owned.

Gorgeous fish. What all do you feed her, and how big is she?

She/he is about 9-10". Can't do without the NLS pellets. She also gets shrimp, mussels, clams, smelt, scallops and squid right now. Depends what is on sale. She definately prefers the shellfish.

Haha. And I'm envious of your tank and the the others that have multiple triggers.

Thanks. I think close to two years. She was originally my son's fish. We did not know about the temperment of these fish at the time, although she is not nearly as aggressive as some others that I have seen. I'll try to find an old photo.
Here is a full tank shot. I am almost finished with the exterior of the stand. The sides are granite and the center oak panel is velcroed on. I may sell my piranhas to turn their 125 into a reef. I am finding the marine world to be much more interesting.

Hey nice fish but I like your stand. Is that real marble and how does that panel open or does it come completely off?

Oh yea, that shoplight has to go though, its not nice enough for the stand and tank!! Ha Ha

You like the shoplight? :D The panel is attached with velcro, like the stand in my piranha tank below. I am staining that panel today, and poly tomorrow. Both stands are made with doubled 2x6's so they are wide open below. I own a small granite countertop company, those are pieces left over from customers kitchens. I wanted to cover up the 2x6 stands that I had built when the tanks were in the basement without spending a lot of $$$. Yeah, the piranha tank has a shoplight, too. Maybe I'll paint them black, then nobody will notice.

Wow, a granite fish stand. That is about as snazzy as you can get!
Love the full tank shot as it shows how enormous your Queen Trigger really is. And he/she is a real beaut!
What is this trigger's personality like? You said, "This is one of the most personable fish that I have owned. " But you didn't tell us WHY she is so personable. (I've never owned a trigger but am in the process of cycling a 140 gallon tank and I am seriously considering a trigger. . . . . but not such a large one.)

By personable, I would have to say that she is inquisitve, intelligent and interactive. I don't know if all types of triggers are like this, I have only had one. Maybe others could chime in, or you could start another thread.
I had always wanted a tank with large piranhas, and now that I have one, they seem boring compared to the trigger.

Very nice trigger.
Can you describe your setup / filtration? Your tank looks really clean!

These fish are definately intelligent. But I do not recommend these fish for anything less than an 8' long by 3' wide tank. I had an 18" QT for awhile and she was very interactive. I kept her in a 150g and was afraid she was going to bust the tank so I rehomed her to a 1000g tank. These fish really do get huge. My old fish was at least 3" thick and was a bottomless pit when it came dinner time.

I read about that. I know that I will have to upgrade the tank at some point.

All I have is a Mag 800 or 850? on a Tidepool with the big biowheel, and a Penguin 350. I did just clean the glass, which was difficult because the trigger kept going after the metal scraper, and I was afraid she would get cut.
The sand is clean because the fish sifts through ALL of it every day. I did not arrange any of it the way you see it in the pictures.
Sometimes she blows craters in the sand, sometimes she sucks up a mouthfull and blows it into the water column (and the filters) and sometimes she lays on her side and motors up a huge sandstorm that cover the entire tank.
Here is a baby picture from June 07. Isn't she cute? ;)

The LFS guy my son got him from regularly has many types of triggers. He also has a tank maintenance business, and some of his clients have large trigger tanks. He has a queen right now that is a little smaller than mine that is super mean and fast. It looks much more yellow and the streamers are longer. Mean, mean fish.
