As the title says...how do you clean a filter sock? Not a nylon mesh bag either....

I usually throw my filter socks in the washing machine with my towels that I use for clean up, and use a double rinse cycle.

Turn it inside out first

I was thinking that, but thought that maybe a little laundry soap might remain in it, couldnt be good for the tank.

I also add bleach and runs a double cycle with no negative effects

I keep some spares so that I don't have to wash as often. About twice per month I will take a bucket of dirty filter socks on the back patio. I turn them inside out and hose them off. Then I throw them in a washing machine with a shot of bleach
( no detergent or fabric softener ). Usually a warm/cold and an extra rinse cycle. I usually let them air dry but I have also dried them on a low temp setting in the past.
