As the title asks, are the things in the lower pics red bugs?

Redbugs are much smaller and harder to see. Those are more likely flatworms. Can you get a better close up pic?
If they are them here is a good read on the removal of them

Ya those look like flat worms. Get a 6 line wrasse and no more flat worms :P

Those do not look like red bugs. As mentioned, red bugs are really really small and hard to see. Also, I think they will only host on smooth skin acros.

will16, I have those in one frag and they do move around the coral. The coral is growing fast. Why are those bugs bad?
They aren't really red, they are orange like yours.

There is some debate over exactly what they will do to a coral. IME, the infected colony had lost all polyp extension and color. Branches were starting to die off slowly. You can see the dying branches in this pic

This is what fell off of that one colony during an interceptor treatment

After treatment, polyp extension and color came right back.

First pics are of flatworms. Very easy to get rid of with flatworm exit. Just make sure to follow directions.
Flatworms. If they are red, then they'll likely be a nuisance. I'm trying to find a use for them, but others prefer physical removal or chemical solutions.
