Importers have to say

In Bali, the fish will be called "Red scooter blenny"

but I don't think so..... It does not look like blenny...

Dan is correct, Parapercis schauinslandi, usually collected in HI, but found in deeper reefs all over the indo pacific. It is in its own family, there are a few species but schauinslandi is the only one normally found in the trade. They are not related to blennies, but look like them so they get that name.

They are preditors, so watch out for your small fish and shrimp. I have had mine even eat cleaner shrimp. They live in harums in the ocean, a lg colorful male controls a territory of smaller duller females, and I have kept them in groups in tanks as small as 40 gallons. They are otherwise peaceful unless they can fit another fish or invert in their mouths. No special water conditions or food requirements. Nothing really negative to say about them except that they may also eat ornamental shrimp.
