Hey all ... looking at hob protein skimmers for a 135 gallon ... anybody have experience with either the AquaC Remora or Octupus Skimmers? Which one do you recommend? Looked at at the Deltec but very expensive and not sure it is worth the extra money. Anyway ... looking to purchase two hob skimmers one for each end of the tank. All opinions welcomed. Thanks.

I've heard very good things about the Octopus skimmers (going to be my next purchase probably) but I haven't owned either of those models personally.

I really like both brands. I think the Aqua-C Remora Pro is an excellent HOB skimmer; but too small for a 135. I think Octopus makes a bigger one.
Edit: I just checked Aqua-C; their biggest HOB is recommended for a max of 120 gal. IMO&IME; skimmers should be "rated" for a much larger tank than they actually are used on. I didn't check Octopus, but a 135 is really big for any HOB. If it is your only option, you may have to use two HOB skimmers.
