I am using RO water and it is such a fine film, it doesn't siphon off

Looks like normal algae growth to me, sign of a healthy tank, nothing to worry about. Your set-up is fairly new right?

your just going through a cycle. Get some snails and they will take care of them. you have a 90g so i would start off with about 50. or get some cleaner shrimp

Yea my tank was set up in September. I only have about 10 snails so I will def get some more. Thanks for the info. So do you think it will just go away with time and snails?

It's all part of the maturation of a tank, you can add some more snails that will help now & with future algae. I battled algae in my tank a couple months ago for weeks before it ran it's course. But, it's all just part of the process...

Looks like normal algae growth. Snails will help but it will never all go away, if it does something is wrong.

So, pretty much everyone has had this in their maturing tank? I just never see it in the pics

Yup, very normal. Happened in my tanks. A good cleanup crew will make short order of that.

For snails I like Trochus (they can right themselves) and Cerith. Maybe a few Mexican turbos too.

Sterile tank syndrome. It never stays nice and perfectly clean as it did when first set up. Mine did the same good cuc helps.

Pretty much once you see algae it never goes away, you can keep it under control with your CUC but like slimy fish said, if it goes away then something is wrong. I mix my snails up, I have a 46 gallon with a mis of about 20 snails, I have cerith, astrea, mexican turbos, nassarius,& a few bumblebee snails.
