I ordered 3 40lb bags of sand yesterday to cover the bottom of my 84x24x36 tank. Will this be enough to cover the bottom? I am not wanting a deep sandbed, just enough to cover the bottom and look nice.

According to the calculator (http://www.reefcentral.com/calc/SandBed.php) on the home page it says 105 will give you a 1" bed.

no it won't cover it, give me your tank and I'll take care of the sand, I'll give you a tank that will be the perfect size for the amount of sand you have ;).
Seriously though that should be plenty to cover the bottom.
