I'm having some problems right now with high ammonia, nitrites and nitrates.......phosphates seems to be the only normal thing in the tank!!!

Just done a 1/3 water change - hopefully that will have the required effect on water quality!!!

hi-fiona, if you have ammonia problems then water changes are the way to go in your case, the 1 third change is good, keep checking for it and you may need to do another in a few days, good luck, keep in touch

Hi Michael,

Nothing dead, the only thing I have is a clown fish which I was talked into adding way too early - but he seems like a hardy little thing so far; still chasing his food like a hungry tiger.

Chris, crush coral substrate??? Do you mean the sandy base??? If yes, then it is crushed coral - not sure what the substrate means though......sorry but you are talking to a complete idiot when it comes to keeping fish.
Can you explain more to me please??

did you use aragonite sand or crushed coral in the tank?

crushed coral is generally perceived as a no no for the long haul

good question Chris - no idea.
Recommended to me by the LFS......don't have the bags any more to check - but can do when the shop opens again on Monday!!
