ready to make the move from a 34g Red sea Maxe to a 90g. I live in an Apartment on the 3rd Floor. I can't amke up my mind on Glass Vs. Acrylic. I like both. does Salt water and chemical additives break down silicone over time? I have read the pros and cons of both but still can't make up my mind. It's either going to be a Clear for life 90g made with 1/2" material or it's a Lee-Mar with starphire glass.

Thanks for the advice in advance.

glass..once you scratch your first acrylic tank you won't buy another one.

The glass and acrylic question comes around every month or so here on the newbie forum, basically i like glass, but acrylic is a good material, most reefers with it suggest it has better clarity and lasts forever where glass dosent scratch as easy but has a shorter life span, thats basically it, youd need to decide which is better for you
