About 4 months ago, I bought a couple of zoos from a LFS. They were on a ceramic plug. I placed the plug on LR using two part putty epoxy, and I used a big blob of it to make sure the plug would stay. Will the zoos grow over that epoxy? They have sprouted all of the way to the edge, but dont seem to want to travel over it to get to the LR.

I can't speak for zoas, but my SPS have encrusted over epoxy.

Yes, they will. They grow over just about anything. Also, you don't need much epoxy, just enough to hold them in place til they attach themselves.

They grow on cloth, if that helps too.

I had plastic dome frags they grew on those. It looks really nice if you're able to have them mounted on any of the 1" dome frags.

What type of two part epoxy are you using?

yep. I broke an SPS frag and epoxied the broken piece right onto the base I broke it off of. look tacky at first but now you cant even tell it was epoxied back on. encrusted completely over the epoxy.
