Well the plumbing for my 315g (84x24x36) is almost finished and I am wanting to nail down my fish list in preparation to starting the QT process.
What does everyone think about this fish list:
Regal Angel (Medium 3-5")
Queen Angel (Large 7-10")
Emperor Angel (Medium 3-5")
Yellow Tang (Medium 3-5")
Blue Tang (Medium 3-5")
Naso Blonde Tang (Large 6-8")
Crosshatch Trigger Male (Large 6-8")
Magnificent Foxface (Large 5-7")
3-5 Bartlett's Anthias
Also, in what order does everyone suggest I add these fish? I'm assuming the Queen, Emperor and Crosshatch will be last to go in, but in what order?
I plan on putting all fish through a 4-6 week QT process before being added to the display.

Brandon, you have a really nice tank. My comments on the list are only my opinion. I have personally kept about half the fish on your list - so I don't have firsthand experience with all of them.
Regal Angel (Medium 3-5") - I think your stock list is too aggressive for this fish, and that it would do better with more passive tankmates in a very mature tank, maybe a reef. have you looked at the regal angel thread? lots of great information there.
Queen Angel (Large 7-10") - IMO, they get too big and aggressive. I'd drop it from the list, maybe replace with a different angel not from genus Holocanthus or Pomacanthus. if you are going to mix angels, you will have to choose carefully and have a strategy for putting them together. there are quite a few experienced multiple angel keepers on RC that have posted about their tanks.
Emperor Angel (Medium 3-5") - a great choice to be the "owner" of the tank, add later, once tank is established. I have one, it is one of my favorite fish.
Yellow Tang (Medium 3-5") - boring fish, IMO. I'd get a different tang. If you want bright color fish, but with personality, I'd get an Australian harlequin tuskfish. not a tang and not yellow, but a great fish. :) The red sea sailfin tang has subtle colors, but is a big, showy fish.
Blue Tang (Medium 3-5") - you mean hippo tang, right? nice fish.
Naso Blonde Tang (Large 6-8") - nice fish, will the tank be large enough, long term? I had a pair of Naso tangs in a 125 for about three years, and they were fine at around 8-10". Not sure if a full grown Naso is okay in a 7 foot tank or not.
Crosshatch Trigger Male (Large 6-8") - will your tank be big enough in the long term? I understand they are very active. Would you consider a slightly smaller trigger from the same genus, like a blue throat or sargassum? I think a blue throat pair would be really nice. I haven't kept the crosshatch, so I'm just asking the question about space...
Magnificent Foxface (Large 5-7") - great fish, you will love it if you haven't had one yet.
3-5 Bartlett's Anthias - I don't think they would be the best choice with the mix you have unless you get rid of the more aggressive fish, keep water quality very high, and feed multiple times a day. better in a reef, IMO.
no puffers or eels?

I'm not sure how well 3 angels would work together. The tank is too small for so many angels and the queen and emperor will most likely have problems.
If you do add all of the above fish, it would probably be a good idea to vary the sizes of all the angels and get the more aggressive fish smaller.
I agree with the tuskfish. It's a fast, smart, and bright fish.
Also agree on the anthias.

Beautiful tank.
Great feedback from Lisa there.
I agree and would consider either Sargassum or Bluethroat, if you do, they make a great first fish in...They do much better in an uncrowded tank and are not aggressive to newcomers.
I would reevaluate the Regal like Lisa said....Only thing I might disagree with Lisa about is that I think the Queen and Emperor could work out, I would get juvi's and introduce together, they are different families.

I too would not do the 3 angels. After owning a queen in my 96x24x24 and watching her chase her tankmates all over I'd be hesitant.
I'd do the Emp and a smaller angel instead.
Other than that I think you will be fine for a long time.

IMO I would try and do pairs of any fish possible as watching them interact is great to watch. BTW love that tank. Who made it? Good luck. Tim

Man, my queen is passive as can be....granted it is only 11" with streamers, but still. Time will tell how my 3 angels fare. They've all only been together for 6 months.
I like the stock list and if that was a yellow belly regal and given the tank to itself with mature live rock for a couple of months and added any angels at the end all would work out.

yeah, but so is your clown trigger. :) I don't think your fish are normal.

I absolutely love queen angels, so much so that I don't think there is any way I can take one off my fish list. Yours is beautiful. How hard was it for you to find one so large? Mind if I ask where you purchased it?

I think a Queen and a Regal would be ok together if the Regal was a lot smaller and added first...If the regal is about 3 inches it may treat it like a pygmy, and large angels get along with pygmys. The Queen has to be the boss of the tank and most likely would not be threatened by the Regal and may ignore it as the Regal will not challenge the Queen's running of the tank and they are of different color patterns and shape. I don't know....my Regal, Majestic, Scribbled and Potter's angels all swim back and forth together. Keep in mind that a Queen is usually the most aggressive of the angels and is not likely to easily share a tank with any of the other really aggressive angels. If you get a really big one to start you may have more behavior problems as it has already had a very large territory for a long time in the wild that he defended and called his own. Maybe a smaller Queen to start would be better able to adapt to sharing a small confines of a fish tank with other fish. Lesley
