I bought two peppermint shrimp a few weeks ago and I only see them at night using a flashlight. They stay hidden in the rocks during the day. Is this normal?

mine stay under rocks during the day and come out to feed at night so imo that is normal mine is attracted to my flashlight as well he comes right up to the glass where the light is

After you've had them for awhile, you'll start to see them come out in the daytime a little more often, especially during feeding time. But yours are behaving completely normally.

Completely normal, mine have always done the same...except at feeding time.

Mine used to hide during the day when they first came home, but are much more active during the day now.

Yep. Mine are still shy even at feeding. Night time though, it's on. They're swimming all over the place.
