i currently have 48 watts pc lighting on my 12g. I am getting a 70w sunpod halides this week. I heard you have to slowly adjust them to halides, you cant just switch it to halides...so, how do i do this? thanks

You can do this by moving the corals that are near the top of your tank down to the bottom.

just lower the number of hours down and slowly lengthen the lightening time of a week or two alot easier then moveing your corrals, altho some may still need to be moved but not all

i'm running 8 hours a day now...how many hours would you start w/ with the 70w halides?

I'd start with like 2 hrs but 4 would work just watch your corals then up it an hour each day till your back to your 8 hrs
