I use it and I love it. Will be upgrading from my 29 to a 75 gal and I plan on using one pro color bulb with it also. It makes pinks, reds pop. No way I wouldn't use one.

I like the uvl aquasun bulb to bring out the red and pink colors. It also has more par. I have a brand new pro color that I put in for under 10mins just to see the color of it.

When looking at the lit Pro Color bulb it is pink. How would you describe the color of the Aquasun in comparison? I'm assuming it is more yellow since it is in the 10k range?

The aqua sun and the pro color both bring out the pinks and reds
I have used both, I think I like the aqua sun a little better

pro color isnt a bulb to take place of aquasun. but using it with aquasun will add too much red light to tank in my opinion. it you use aquasun then I would use a 75.25 if using a procolor I would use a ge 6500. I have used all these bulbs. Currently
vho actinic
t5 atiblue +
procolor
blue +
ge 6500k
blue+
aquablue special 12k
vho actinic.

After reading some of the other threads, I replaced my Pro Color with the UVL Aqua Sun and love it. I have ATI B+ and UVL True Actinic also.

I think mojo hit it just right. The procolor is a nice bulb if you have a lot of blue or aquablue bulbs, but it adds to much pink if you already have an aquasun. I used one for about a month, but prefer the UVL 75.25. Here is how I would describe them:

Aquasun - bright white, with pink hue
Midday (6000-6500k) - bright white, with yellow hue
Aquablue - bright white, with blue hue

ProColor - bright pink
UVL 75.25 - pink/violet, more subtle than the ProColor

I'm currently running the following 6 bulb combo (front to back)
Blue Plus
Aquablue
UVL Super Actinic
Gman Midday
Blue Plus
UVL 75.25

I would love to try the aquasun or the 75.25 but I'm running 60" 80W lamps and UVL dosn't make any that long.

I dont care to much for the pro color. Way to much pink, doesn't bring out the colors as much, not as bright as the aquasun.

Seems like orange pink color in the tank with this bulb (might just be me).
Now the aquasun looks like it is a pinkish bulb but not as harsh when the light is in the tank.
I put in my brand new (well around 10-20mins on it) ATI Procolor bulb right next to the UVL Aquasun bulb, that is about a month old now.
Here are some pics of it I took with my phone so take it as you will.

This pic is up close to the bulbs left is ATI - Pro Color right is UVL Aquasun its pretty accurate to my eye. Some people say that the aquasun is a pink bulb but if you put the pro color up next to it you can see it not all that pink.
You can see the pro color is over powering in the pink color and the aquasun is bright white with just a slight pink color to it.

Here is a pic of the same thing just a little more length of the bulbs.

Now just for everyone to see how the UVL Aquasun looks when up to other bulbs. It does look pink when not next to the pro color.
All bulbs are a month old.
